Job Description

Samugara Shipyard is looking for a dedicated Marine Mechanical Engineer to support shipbuilding and ship repair projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure all mechanical systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical engineering drawings and documentation.
• Supervise installation of marine mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with production teams during fabrication and assembly.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Participate in project planning and progress meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or heavy industry.
• Able to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or similar engineering software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willing to be placed at Samugara Shipyard facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marine engineering projects.
• Knowledge of classification society standards.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems.
• Basic English communication skills.
